Maybe they will update parents on the staff member hired recently August 2021 who is on paid administrative leave; please CUSD, conduct a thorough investigation, unlike the handling of Tortillagate and the investigation of the Boy’s Basketball Coach.
Also, if this investigation (The Coronado News article) resorts in a firing, it may be high time that the Board look at the Superintendent’s hiring process and the judgment of the interview panel.
CUSD lost a high school principal not that long ago in the wake of Tortillagate, June 2021. And the recent Elementary School hire is an SEL disciple (taught at now defunct School of Universal Learning (Soul) Charter School in Solana) which seems in direct contravention of community members desires for the District to focus on academics. A new CMS VP was just hired. Also, as some may recall positions were created for Public Information Officer and Director of Special Programs out of thin air.
Coronado Police Department are investigating; maybe they will be more active and transparent than the Tortillagate “investigation” and in preventing mischief on CUSD property during racebaiter protests.
CUSD Education Jobs are located here, perhaps someone should find out about VP resignation request in March and why it was withdrawn yet his resignation was approved for June 30, 2023 on the personnel register. Why was the CHS VP planning on resigning less than two years after being hired by the Superintendent?
