“Books that have been challenged are ones like ALL BOYS AREN’T BLUE by George M Johnson, (found in the CHS library), and BEYOND MAGENTA (in the CMS library), FUN HOME: A FAMILY TRAGICOMIC (in CHS library) is a graphic novel— depicting pictures of oral and anal sex, and other sexually explicit images. These books depict abuse, sexual violence—mostly against women, cartoons and explicit drawings of kids having sex, different sex toys — and include vocabulary expected to be present in pornographic “novels.”
