About – Coronado School Board Report

Note: This website relies on community members reporting events, writing topical comments, and sharing references and documents related to CUSD School Board.

This website is intended to serve as a resource for those community members who do not have the time to attend nor watch hours of school board meetings. Its purpose is 1) to summarize school board meetings, 2) to offer commentary and analysis based on facts, 3) to motivate community members to voice their opinions on school board matters and to vote, and 4) to pressure the school board to be transparent and accountable to the community.

The past school board (2020-22) was embroiled in multiple issues, be it Critical Theory implementation via Equity Committee, Social Emotional Learning, and No Place for Hate; mishandling of Tortilla Gate; or lack of ownership over vaccine, mask, and school openings that do not benefit student’s academically nor contribute to a positive school climate. The current Administration seems in intent on maintaining the status quo–so it is up to us to help the new school board.

All Americans not just parents, who understand the value of promoting Equality, Meritocracy, and Discipline should be concerned with subpar standardize test scores, drug usage, and social programming consisting of a Diversity Inclusion Equity (DIE) Agenda. The Board’s action or inaction impacts the networth of many Coronado residents. Good schools are a factor in property values and currently Coronado schools are behind academically Del Mar, Solano, and Poway local schools.
